Rent a Girlfriend, based on the Weekly Shonen Magazine Manga by author Reiji Miyajima, was one of the most unanticipated hits of the 2020 summer anime season.

For all its success in China, it is the anime that has taken it to new heights.

Even Miyajima himself acknowledged the success of the show, tweeting that it has risen to the 4th spot on Netflix Japan’s list of the top shows.

Rent-A-Girlfriend: Release Date

On September 25, 2020, Rent-A-official Girlfriend’s English Twitter account announced Season 2 of Rent-A-Girlfriend. Since then, fans have been anticipating the show’s return with bated breath.

New character Sumi Sakurasawa’s graphic depicts her interacting with penguins in a zoo. New-season will release in mid of July 2022.

A similar strategy may be used for Season 2 of “Rent a Girlfriend,” which launched in Japan first and then in the United States in late August.
