What does the story of All The Old Knives revolve around?

The plot of All The Old Knives contains all the hallmarks of a classic spy thriller, including a large-scale conspiracy. While investigating an intelligence leak that resulted in the deaths of over 100 individuals, experienced agent Henry Pelham is tasked with tracking down the source among his former colleagues at the Vienna station of the CIA.

From Austria to England to California, his inquiry takes him back and forth between the two countries, where he is reunited with his ex-lover and former colleague Celia Harrison. In this fascinating tale of global espionage, moral uncertainty, and lethal betrayal, the duo is pushed to blur the boundaries between profession and romance.
