Witcher season 3: Expected Release Date
Henry Cavill’s on-set injury and COVID-related delays were largely to blame for the two-year gap between the first and second seasons of The Witcher.
For the time being, TV productions appear to be moving at a pace similar to what they were before the epidemic, so if there are any further delays, season three might arrive as early as the end of 2022. or, most probable, in 2023.” That, however, is entirely open to revision.
Is Henry Cavill Quitting after Season 3?
Despite speculation to the contrary, Henry Cavill will not be departing anytime soon. To that end, when asked by showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich if he’d be willing to continue around for seven seasons, he agreed, but only on one condition: “As long as we can maintain producing wonderful stories that value Sapkowski’s work.”
Even if the program deviates significantly from Sapkowski’s books, Cavill isn’t going to pass up the chance to portray one of his all-time favorite characters.

What will be the storyline of The Witcher Season 3?
Season 3’s plot is unclear, but we have a general notion of where it will go. In addition to Sapkowski’s books and the show’s cast, this is based on what Hissrich and the show’s cast say.
The Time of Contempt, the second major novel in The Witcher chronicle, will serve as the inspiration for Season 3. “I’m incredibly delighted with how season 3 is shaping up,” Hissrich said. This is due to the fact that “The Time of Contempt” is my favorite book in the series and that “Seasons 1 and 2 have been setting the groundwork”
“I don’t feel the need for our plot to go beyond where the books go,” said Hissrich, reaffirming her aim to stick to the source material as closely as possible. As far as I can tell, Andrzej had an end in mind. he’s published more books since we started the show, so I guess we’ll have to see how that fits in.”
Season 3 is expected to include elements from previous books in the series, based on the way it’s been announced so far. A “major tale from Blood of Elves,” the first novel in The Witcher franchise, will be included in the third season’s story, Hissrich stated in the interview.

Season 3 of The Witcher is now filming on location
Cavill posted a follow-up video in which he discussed his morning workout. As he puts it, he’s currently “on location. ” According to earlier rumors, he and Freya Allen had both arrived in Slovenia earlier this week. On March 30th, the show’s producer, Steve Gaub, uploaded a photo on Instagram supposedly showing the view from the Nanos Plateau in Slovenia, where the crew had been searching for filming locations since January.
Any one of these events may be discounted on its own, but taken together, they provide compelling evidence that filming on season 3 has already begun. Furthermore, Redanian Intelligence sources tell them that filming will commence on March 31, 2022, exactly one year after The Witcher season 2 ended production.
There are clues that development on The Witcher season 3 is moving forward, but we’ll take this with a grain of salt until Netflix confirms it.
