Filmmaker Robert Eggers and Icelandic poet, author, and lyricist Sjón co-wrote the screenplay for The Northman, an American epic historical thriller directed by Eggers.
Mark Huffam, Lars Knudsen, and Arnon Milchan are the producers of this action-packed revenge flick. Executive producers Yariv Milchan and Michael Schaefer include Alexander Skarsgrd. Several locations across the two countries were used for the shoot. In select US cinemas on April 22, 2022, Focus Features will release The Northman, which will be distributed internationally by Universal Pictures.

Storyline of The NorthMan
‘The Northman’ is a dramatic revenge drama that delves into the depths of a Viking prince’s determination to pursue vengeance for the death of his father.
In 14th century Iceland, the Viking emigration takes place. Amleth, a little boy, witnesses his father, King Aurandvil, being cruelly slain by his uncle, Fjölnir. His father died, and the Viking prince pledges to avenge him by pursuing justice and vengeance in his homeland.

After initially being set for release on April 8, 2022, The Northman’s release date was eventually moved to the 22nd. Focus Features will handle the US distribution, while Universal Pictures will handle the rest of the world.
