Plot of World on Fire Season 2
Because of the pandemic, the production schedule for “World on Fire,” as well as a plethora of other series and movies, was rescheduled. Although there is no official release date for Season 2, it was stated in the comments section of an Instagram post from the show’s official account in October 2020 that filming would begin in the summer of 2021.

Susanne Simpson, executive producer of PBS Masterpiece, announced in a 2019 interview with Town & Country that Season 2 will focus on 1940 and how World War II affected people across the United Kingdom and Europe during that important moment.
