The Gilded Age, HBO’s period drama set in late nineteenth-century New York, has been renewed for a second season, much to the delight of fans. We couldn’t be more excited to go on a season two journey with this very talented crew alongside our partners at Universal Television.”

What Happened at the End of Season 1 of the Gilded Age?
The train crash scandal was mostly resolved in favour of George Russell going into the season finale, despite the fact that he (surprisingly?) had little to do with the cheap and poor equipment that caused the crash. Marian and the van Rhijn sisters learned about Peggy’s past: she had been married and had given birth to a child who had died.
This is also the source of her feud with her father, who compelled Peggy’s marriage to be annulled. Peggy has left the house in order to escape any further entanglements with Mrs. Armstrong’s planning. There’s also Marian and Tom Raikes’ looming elopement, Oscar van Rhijn’s (Blake Ritson) schemes to secure the fortune of Miss Gladys Russell (Taissa Farmiga).
While continuing his relationship with John Adams (Claybourne Elder), and a slew of other servant stories (the most compelling of which is how Watson knows Flora), not to mention Bertha Russell’s recovery from her humiliating back door escape from Mrs. Astor’s Newport mansion.

Release Date of the Gilded Age Premiere Season 2
The Gilded Age writers began writing Season 2 stories well before the show’s renewal was announced on February 14, 2022. In January 2022, executive producer Gareth Neame told RadioTimes.com, “We’re always getting the second season ready well before we know whether it goes through or not.”
“Because, you know, as soon as we know we’re going ahead, we have to start rolling the cameras.” As a result, you’ll have to get ready. Having said that, there is no news on when the second season will premiere, but our best bet is that it will be in early 2023.
