Atlanta Season 3 Spoilers & Donald Glover’s Rousing Return To FX Gets Better In Season 3

Atlanta has finally returned after a four-year absence that felt even longer. 2018 marked the season 2 finale on FX. Even for a show that has always flowed with its own sense of fluid time, this was a long break. There has been  a pandemic, an attack on the Capitol, and the aftermath of George Floyd’s murder, which echoed the show’s theme of what it’s like to be a Black American in America, where fortune may change in a split second.

RBA, 343 Incorporated, and MGMT are the companies behind the show’s production. Donald Glover is the show’s executive producer and creator.

Cast of Atlanta Season 3

What FX and Donald Glover have stated about the third season ?

The third season of Atlanta was originally scheduled to premiere in January 2021, but the COVID-19 epidemic evidently prevented that, resulting in production delays. Since Seasons 3 and 4 were written during the epidemic, FX Networks chief John Landgraf says that they’re filming Seasons 3 and 4 back-to-back. Season 3’s 10 episodes were filmed in Europe, while Season 4 is expected to have eight. Season 3 hasn’t gotten many specifics from Glover, but he has mentioned how good it is on occasion. He appears to be confident in the work he’s done thus far.

Plot of Atlanta Season 3

Paper Boi and his crew are currently in the middle of a European tour that sees each member return to their old ways. It’s Earn’s hustle, Paper Boi’s talent and magnetism, Darius’ wandering freak, and Van’s intentional investment in self-discovery that keep their fame soaring.

As the season gets underway, “Three Slaps” introduces viewers to an almost-horror narrative that presents a weird storey that only Atlanta can tell. ‘Sinterklass Is Coming to Town,’ the second episode, is more clear and focuses on Earn, Al, Darius, and Van’s recent activities.’

Release Date

On March 24, 2022, FX broadcast the third season of Atlanta. The upcoming episodes will be released on the following Thursdays.

Customers can see new episodes of Atlanta the day after they air on television thanks to FX on Hulu.

In the upcoming episodes its possible to see that :

  • A trip to the city of London

A resident in London’s Stoke Newington neighbourhood reported seeing members of the Atlanta cast filming outside Stanfield’s home. Atlanta, as we all know, goes in a lot of different directions, but it wouldn’t be strange if they embarked on a London-specific adventure or were affected in unforeseen ways by their new location.

  • Earn and Van are still having problems

At the end of Season 2, Earn and Van appeared to have broken up, but they will continue co-parent their son. Van and Lottie will have a difficult time adjusting at first because Earn has recently left for Europe and Van is moving into her mother’s house. The season should focus on how they deal with the challenge of raising a child while living apart, as well as the possibility of repairing their relationship.

  • More content centred upon the van

This season’s plot will focus on “a very distinct perspective from the Atlanta woman,” Donald’s brother, Stephen Glover, has said. With Van as the show’s only female protagonist, and at least portion of the storyline taking place in Europe, the forthcoming episodes of Atlanta may include more Van-centric escapades.

Atlanta Season 3: Donald Glover’s Rousing Return To FX Gets Better In Season 3

Since Atlanta: Robbin’ Season has been airing on FX for three years, it has been a long since we’ve seen the show’s second season premiere. That season was the most enjoyable thing to watch on television in 2018. It featured episodes such as “Teddy Perkins,” “Barbershop,” and “Woods,” and after season two was completed, the show was swiftly renewed for a third season on the air.

Since the last episode of the show aired, Donald Glover, the show’s creator and the star has been extremely busy with a variety of new projects. The Grammy-winning song “This Is America” was the first song he released under the name Childish Gambino, and he embarked on a tour of the United States in 2018 and 2019. He also collaborated with Rihanna on the film Guava Island, which was released last year, and published the album 3.15.20.

As well as Atlanta, he recently signed a deal with Amazon Studios and is currently developing a television show based on the 2005 Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie film Mr. & Mrs. Smith with Phoebe Waller-Bridge. As a result, he is also working on several other projects at the same time, which is a significant amount of work.

Having said that, Atlanta season 3 is still one of the most anticipated television series to premiere shortly. Atlanta’s star, Donald Glover, is doing his part to get fans psyched about the show’s next seasons. He predicted on Twitter in November that they will be among the best television shows ever produced, only better than The Sopranos.

If someone else said something like that, it would appear to be a joke. Glover, on the other hand, is probably not exaggerating when he says this. We’re looking forward to seeing what he comes up with.

Final Thoughts

With the teaser ending with the words “2022,” Glover and FX have been mum on when the new season of Atlanta will premiere”. Following the teaser, Glover expressed his excitement for season 3 and his frustration with comparisons to FX’s other popular comedy Dave, featuring fellow artist/actor Lil Dicky. Glover also said he was weary of the comparisons.
