Ragnarok Season 3: When Can We Expect a New Installment of the Norwegian Netflix Series? Updates on Cast and the Storyline

“Ragnarok” is a fantasy drama that everyone is watching on Netflix because of its unique take on Norse mythology. Instead of simply portraying the Norse gods and their adversaries as ancient characters who have been at it for ages, the show adds a reincarnation twist to the basic premise.

This allows “Ragnarok” to function as a superhero origin story, with young Magne (David Stakston) discovering, much to his surprise, that he is the thunder god Thor. With his newfound abilities, he must prevent the end of the world by confronting ancient giants who attempt to cause Ragnarok, a climate change, by disguising themselves as a wealthy human family.

The Norse Netflix series isn’t afraid to introduce new elements of mystery and mayhem into the plot, and by the end of Season 2, the small town of Edda is teeming with mythological figures, all of whom are on a collision course. All that remains is for a third season to show how the conflict between the gods and their enemies plays out.

What Is Ragnarok Season 3 Plot?

Season 1 of “Ragnarok” focuses on Magne’s awakening powers and his battles against the Jutul family, while Season 2 ups the ante by introducing viewers to a slew of other Norse god reincarnations. It also establishes Laurits (Jonas Strand Gravli), Magne’s (David Stakston) half-brother, as the embodiment of Loki the trickster.

Ragnarok Season 3

The sophomore season’s finale, perhaps predictably, ends with the siblings at odds, as Magne betrays Laurits’ trust and the latter’s schemes unleash the lethal Jörmungandr — the Thor-killing world serpent.

Even with their possible alliance with Saxa (Theresa Frostad Eggesb), Magne and the other reincarnated gods are surely in a world of trouble if Season 3 follows its predecessor’s lead and begins right where the ending of “Ragnarok” Season 2 left things.

Not only are the remaining Jutuls as destructive as ever, but Laurits has firmly aligned himself with the anti-Magne camp, and his lethal “tapeworm” is now free to roam.
