When Can We Expect ‘And Just Like That’ Season 2 to Air on HBO Max?

Just Like That Season 2

It may have divided the internet, sparked heated dinner-table debates, and sparked a revolt demanding justice for Steve Brady, but there’s something about And Just Like That… that keeps us coming back for more. And, as we now know, a new season is on the way, so perhaps that’s all the motivation the show’s creators need to create a second season.

Indeed, as the final episode of season one airs around the world, many are wondering where Carrie Bradshaw’s story will go next, if anywhere, not least because she’s finally getting back into her groove following Big’s death. Here’s an overview of everything we know (so far) about the second season of And Just Like That…

Plot of Just Like That Season 2

At this point, your guess is as good as ours. But we’re guessing there’ll be some sex and a fair amount of New York. The focus of the show has shifted slightly, with the three main characters now in a new stage of their lives, beyond dating (well, maybe a bit of dating).

Carrie is also trying to navigate the single life once again after the unexpected loss of Big. Miranda has also re-entered the dating scene, this time with a new boo. It’s anyone’s guess whether Che and Miranda’s romance will survive the lull between seasons one and two, but we’re guessing fans of the show will root for both outcomes.

Charlotte’s world has remained relatively calm while Carrie and Miranda’s have experienced some upheaval. Rose may have become the gender-neutral Rock (no labels please – no girl, no boy, no non-binary – no Jewish – not even a New Yorker – they’ve been very clear), but Charlotte’s only concern has remained her child’s welfare.

It’s possible that a later season will throw something unexpected and life-changing her way.

Release Date of Just Like That Season 2

You’ll be equally disappointed to learn that no decision on whether to air a second season has been made, whether you’re looking forward to it or relieved to see this reboot come to an end. HBO Max hasn’t said which way the tide will turn, but talks are in the works, and it appears that lead actress Sarah Jessica Parker is interested.

When asked if she would consider a reboot, Parker responded, “Without a doubt, yes.” ‘OK, when are we going to discuss this?’ Michael and I talked about it two weeks ago and decided on a date. Because there is a clock on the wall, and you don’t want to waste any more time than is absolutely necessary. It appears that progress is being made.

Who Will Appear in Season 2 of and Just Like That?

There has been no word on which cast members will return for season 2 of And Just Like That. But it’s safe to say that if a second season were to be made, Sarah Jessica Parker would be on board – after all, there wouldn’t be a show without Carrie Bradshaw.

Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon are also expected to return as Charlotte York and Miranda Hobbes, respectively, to round out the trio. While their husbands, Harry Goldenblatt (Evan Handler) and Steve Brady (David Eigenberg), may return.

Following Stanford’s departure from the show (due to actor Willie Garson’s tragic death in real life), partner Anthony Marentino had more scenes with the girls in season 1. So one would think that actor Mario Cantone would also agree to a second season.

And Just Like That’s first season also introduced viewers to a slew of new and exciting characters including:
