Exactly When Is Season 4 Of Virgin River Getting Out? Are Jack and Mel Getting Married?
In Netflix’s Virgin River, the lives of the show’s characters are as dramatic as the show’s beautiful British Columbian setting. After all, who wouldn’t fall in love and feel right at home in this peaceful country landscape, right?
No one knows this better than Mel Monroe. She moved to a small town in season one, and that’s when we first learned about the show. In season three, the show’s most important people had even more twists and turns. But will they be back for round four?
Virgin River Season 4 Potential Release Date
Season four is coming, and Netflix has also said the show will get a fifth season as well. This is good news! However, there hasn’t been a set release date yet. With all of the bad things going on in the world, more and more people are looking for not just comfort, but also hope and community, Netflix’s vice president of the original series told USA Today.
Everything came together in a way that was very natural. I think this was more of a sign that this is a very important part of the programming that we do. Seeing as how the melodrama series has been a hit all over the world, this isn’t a surprise.
According to the stats site FlixPatrol, the show has been in the top 10 for almost two months in some countries. This includes the US (53 days), Canada (57 days), and the Netherlands (59 days) (78 days). This quote from Mel: “There is a sense of connection and intimacy that you have on the show that people want in their own relationships.
That’s why the show has been so popular.” You don’t get to feel that connection as much during the pandemic, and so people were looking for that connection. A picture of Martin Henderson in a voiceover recording booth was posted on Instagram in late November 2021. He told fans how filming was going on the fourth season.
“Post-production work on #virginriver season 4,” he wrote. Make sure everything goes well for the best fans ever! We hope that you all have a great weekend, no matter where you are. That would mean that filming is done and the series is in post-production. As a guess, we’d say that the fourth season will come out in July 2022, as the third one did.
Photos of Jack (Martin Henderson), Doc (Tim Matheson), Preacher (Colin Lawrence), Brady (Benjamin Hollingsworth), and Ricky were also posted by the cast in November. This suggests that a new season isn’t too far away, and it also shows how the show is made.
It’s not going to cover season four and five back-to-back. During an Instagram Live, Alexandra said that the filming of season five would be pushed back.
“We were supposed to start in March, but it has been moved. I don’t know what will happen now.” Maybe we can start this summer. As a rule, I’m done filming in the winter. I’d rather film in the summer than in the winter. For the actress who said: It seems that the weather in Vancouver has been pretty bad for her.
“I don’t want to do that again at all.” People who are outside in sandals or little clothes because it’s supposed to be the middle of summer don’t look very good. It’s very cold. Alexandra didn’t finish her sentence, but her face said it all. This is what she looked like. The video is below.
The weather wasn’t the only thing Alexandra had to deal with while filming. She also had to deal with a lot of other things. Because of a bad tooth, she had a lot of pain while working on some scenes for season four.
“There are a few scenes on the show where I was in the most excruciating pain, besides giving birth, that I’ve ever been in.” We don’t know how long ago the tooth had been cracked or chipped. Over time, the crack got bigger, but it wasn’t infected. The root was dying, and the nerve was dying. Ouch.
Yes, filming could start for the fifth season this summer. At the very least, the movie could be out at the end of 2022. However, there’s no need to be too down about it, because season four is going to have more episodes to make up for it. Instead of 10 episodes, there will be 12 for fans to enjoy.

“Who Is in Virgin River? Season 4 Cast: Who Are They?”
Season four of the show would likely have all of the main characters back: Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge), Jack (Martin Henderson), John, Charmaine, Doc, Hope, Brady, Brie, Lizzie, Ricky, and more.
Lilly, played by Lynda Boyd, died of pancreatic cancer in season three. Boyd has said that talks have taken place about bringing her back for season four.
“When I talked to the producers that day, they said that they planned to show me in flashbacks, like Mel’s husband, her dead husband,” she said (via Radio Times).
Virgin River Season 4 Plot: What Will Happen?
At the end of season three, there were a lot of big questions about the Virgin River that will play a big role in the story going forward. Mel is having a baby, but it might not be Jack’s, because the baby might not be born. Her husband, Daniel Gillies, could be the father. She told TV Line: “You’ll know by the end of the fourth season.”
In this case, what will happen if the baby is not Jack’s? “It would be very hard,” Breckenridge said to E! “That would be very difficult for Jack, too.” If he stays around, it will be hard for Mel to have a child that is her dead husband’s child. That’s just, like, a lot to ask for.
In the end, Jack did get down on one knee for Mel, but he had to stop when Mel found out that she was going to be a mother. During the finale, Hope had a fever, which means that she isn’t yet out of the woods. She is still in the hospital.
“We do move forward. To us, it’s how she’s getting better and what she’s going through – a traumatic brain injury. When we make our show, we don’t really live in a hospital or when we’re getting better. But we’re very sure of what the truth is, so we’ll go to the edge of what’s the best way to get back on our feet.
In terms of medicine, we always follow the rules. We also know what we like to do now, which are complicated emotionally drama-based stories.
