Will There Be a Third Season of Mo Dao Zu Shi?
Mo Dao Zu Shi is a Chinese animated children’s television program. It is based on the novel Mo Dao Zu Shi by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu; it is written by Liang Sha; directed by Xiong Ke; and produced by Jin Wenjun, Wang Juan, Liu Xing, Zhu Ke, and Yan Mengya. It has a total of two seasons, with the third premiering on August 7, 2021. Let’s take a look at what we currently know about season 3 and the upcoming episodes.
Is It Worth Watching?
This series has consistently earned rave reviews. The series’ storyline is quite intriguing. The series is brimming with fantasy, action, mystery, and suspense. It received an 8.6/10 rating on My Anime List. As with the previous season, this season has received much appreciation and is well worth seeing.
Concerning the Release Date and Where to View
Season 1 was titled Qian Chen Pian and was released on July 9, 2018, by Tencent Videos in a 15-episode format (a Chinese video streaming website). Season 2 was titled Xian Yun Pian and was announced by Tencent Videos in July 2019. It premiered on August 3, 2019, with eight episodes. Tencent confirmed a third and last season. On January 22, 2021, a trailer was also published.
Season 3 premiered on August 7 with two episodes. Now, new episodes are released every week on Saturdays. Episode 9 is scheduled to premiere on August 25, 2021. The series is available in China on Tencent’s official website. International audiences can watch the series on WE TV. The series may be viewed for free on YouTube’s official website.
Concerning the Story Plot
The story will be set in a made-up world. It will be based on Wei Wuxian’s eccentric behavior. Grandmaster Wei will establish his Demon Sect, which will not be well-known throughout his formative years. His reputation will deteriorate and he will be despised by the majority of people for bringing them harm. He will betray a friend or a sibling. He will assume the shape of a crazy to evade death. He will be the most skilled and will be supervised by Lan Wangi. The series then flashed back 13 years to when Wei was a child.
In episode 9, Wei and Lan Zhan will discover a clue to the truth they have been searching for a long time. They will then embark on their adventure to Tan City. Additionally, Episode 9 will provide some details regarding the deceased body. The upcoming episode will include several surprises but will also address any remaining questions.
