Season two of History’s Project Blue Book is concluded, and unless the show is renewed, our UFO-hunting dynamic team may have come to an end. We sat down with David O’Leary, creator/writer/executive producer of Project Blue Book, and Sean Jablonski, showrunner/executive producer of Project Blue Book, for an interview at Den of Geek that was simultaneously live-streamed on YouTube and Facebook.

‘Project Blue Book’ is a series of real-world investigations of reported UFO encounters and other paranormal events. In the 1950s and 1960s, the US Air Force conducted research. The series also acts as a cinematic adaptation of the original 1969 study. Dr J. Allen Hynek, a skilled astronomer who served as a scientific advisor on the project, is also featured in the presentation. Aidan Gillen co-stars as Captain Michael Quinn, an Air Force veteran, alongside Michael Malarkey.

They embark on a voyage of strange occurrences and anomalies together, which culminates in an engrossing mystery storey. Robert Sheaffer, a paranormal investigator, labelled the show questionable after spotting inconsistencies in the show’s presentation of history and science. Despite this, the show lasted two seasons and garnered positive reviews from fans, particularly “true believers.” And now we’re debating whether to renew the show for a second season.

The Story of Project Blue Book

The novel is based on true events and follows Dr J. Allen Hynek, a brilliant college professor hired by the United States Air Force to study thousands of unexplained cases dubbed “Project Blue Book.” By the way, there are at least 700 of them that remain unresolved to this day.

Each episode of Project Blue Book is devoted to a specific documented case involving a UFO that occurred during one of the most enigmatic eras in US history.

The Release Date For Season 3 Of Project Blue Book Has Been Announced.

Season 2 of ‘Project Blue Book’ premiered on January 21, 2020, and finished on March 24, 2020. It is divided into ten episodes, each lasting 42-44 minutes. Season 2 averaged 1.3 million views on the same day. As a result, audiences eagerly awaited the show’s revival. Regrettably, History will cancel the show in May 2020.

According to Sean Jablonski, co-executive producer of the show, History has decided to discontinue all written programming. This does not mean, however, that the show will be suspended indefinitely. On May 7, 2020, a petition was submitted to assist the creators in relocating the show to a new network. Their production company has been seeking alternative venues, ideally a streaming service that will host the show.

According to Jablonski, the decision by History to cancel the show was not based on its performance. Additionally, the Season 3 screenplay was taking shape. As a result, History chose to stop airing it on a corporate level, and the network suspended all scripted programming. As a result, ‘Project Blue Book’s third season has been cancelled. This acclaimed sitcom, which grew in popularity throughout its two-season run, has concluded.

However, hope is not entirely lost. It may yet air on other networks or streaming services in the future (ideally, Netflix, as it did with beloved dramas such as “Designated Survivor” and “Lucifer” when their respective home networks cancelled production). Along with the petition, supporters have been rallying support for the show on social media under the hashtag “Save Blue Book.” For the time being, the only thing that can be done is to hope that the programme finds a network and is revived.

This episode concentrated on Operation Mainbrace. A naval drill that took place in September 1952 was attended by representatives from eight NATO member states, including New Zealand.

On the water, there were 80,000 troops, 1,000 aircraft, and 200 ships. Several UFOs were sighted in the area during the 12-day Mainbrace manoeuvre.

A British pilot seized control of the United States of America, and a reporter named Wallace Litwin took many images of a “silvery, spherical” object.

At the conclusion of the final episode, the UFO made contact with the Danish destroyer Villemos. Several crew members, including an officer, observed the triangular-shaped craft. It is believed to have reached speeds of more than 900 miles per hour.
