A new round of bot matches is coming to BattleBots in 2022, and the game’s release date is set for the first week of January that year.
However, because recent media attention focused on another COVID-19 variation, BattleBots creators encouraged live audiences in the arena that they should hold off until a statement was made on the subject.
Battlebots 2022 Is a Video Game That Was Released in 2012.
This season, over 60 teams will battle in Las Vegas for the Giant Nut, which is the ultimate prize in the sport, according to the official website.
The defending champion is End Game from New Zealand, but American teams are driven to bring the Nut back to the United States, as they compete against teams from Europe, Asia, and South America for the coveted prize.
In terms of the players that spectators may expect to see, Tombstone, a former BattleBox champion, will be making a comeback.
Meanwhile, following their absence from the 2020 season, Robots Blacksmith, Minotaur, DUCK, as well as Icewave, will compete against fan favorites Witch Doctor, SawBlaze, Hydra, Whiplash, and Valkyrie in the Battle of the Champions.
However, only one will be crowned as the world’s best bot at the end of the competition.
In a lovely announcement, Discovery Factual’s executive vice president of multiplatform programming, Scott Lewers, revealed the BattleBots’ 2022 television schedule, in which the robots would clash beginning on the first Thursday of the year 2022.

Edward Roski, the founder and CEO of BattleBots Inc., added to what Lewers had already stated “The World Championship this year was the most entertaining yet, and the battles were nothing short of spectacular.
As a result of their efforts, a completely new level of inventiveness, technical ability, and – let’s be honest — violence has been set. There are surprises and upsets, as well as inspiring victories over technical and personal obstacles. It’s going to be our most successful season to date.”
Furthermore, former UFC fighter Kenny Florian and renowned sportscaster Chris Rose will provide play-by-play commentary for BattleBots 2022 on the NBC Sports Network.
They will be joined in the BattleBox by expert adviser Pete Abrahamson, who has been dubbed “the Bot Whisperer,” while Faruq Tauheed will serve as the ring announcer.
Battlebots 2022 Will Be Released in the Year 2022.
On Thursday, January 6, 2022, at 8 p.m. Eastern Time, Discovery Channel will premiere a new season of the robot-battling tournament, which will air for the first time since its cancellation in 2011.
