Dragonar Academy, or Seikoku no Dragonar, began life in 2010 as a light novel series. The harem LN series, written by Shiki Mizuchi and illustrated by Kohada Shimesaba, was highly successful with a certain audience. As a result, it was quickly adapted into a manga series in 2011 and a television anime in 2014. Studio C-Station created the 12-episode show, which aired on AT-X in Japan and was distributed internationally by Funimation.
