When will season 4 be released?
It is now official! Stranger Things 4 will premiere on Netflix on May 27, 2022, following production delays caused by the Coronavirus outbreak. At the very least, Vol. I is — the show’s social media channels shared a series of posters promoting the highly anticipated new season and made the formal announcement via an Instagram post.
“Each conclusion has a beginning. Vol. 1 will be released on May 27. Vol. 2 will be released on July 1 “As stated in the caption. This almost certainly suggests that ST4 will be split into two parts, similar to HBO Max’s revival of Gossip Girl.
David Harbour recently promised fans that Stranger Things 4 is on the way while on the jumbotron during a New York Knicks basketball game. David held up his phone, which stated, “Stranger Things Season 4 is coming soon, promise,” as he sat courtside next to Noah Schnapp.
Stranger Things began production in February 2020, but was forced to pause for a while owing to the Coronavirus pandemic. When will the 4 season begin filming?
A special teaser was issued in February 2020 confirming Hopper’s return, indicating that production began prior to that date. However, due to the coronavirus outbreak, filming was halted.
According to Deadline, shooting will resume on September 28 in Georgia, where they had filmed previous seasons. There is no news on how far production got in season four when they first began filming, but it appears as though the majority of the season is still to be shot. This implies that viewers may have to wait a little longer than normal for the show’s Netflix release.
Is someone on the verge of joining the cast?
Nina Dobrev shared an Instagram photo of herself standing outside a building clearly labelled “Hawkins High School: Home of the Tigers” on December 4. As if that wasn’t enough of a tease, she cleverly captioned the image: “weirder things have occurred…” The Stranger Things fandom immediately speculated on her appearance in season four.
However, Netflix has not verified Nina’s participation and no other information regarding her prospective involvement has been released. Only time will reveal whether or not the rumours are real.

The clip takes Hawkins to a brand-new setting, the Creel House. At the start, a flashback shows a family from the 1950s or 1960s exhibiting some strange behaviour in their home. The clip then flashes forward to the 1980s, the era in which the show is predominantly set. Mike, Eleven, Dustin, Lucas, Will, Max, and Steve are examining what appears to be an abandoned Creel House. Is this a significant factor in the ST4 plot?
In case you missed it, Eleven and the Byers family relocated to California at the conclusion of season 3. On November 6 — dubbed Stranger Things Day, since it marks the anniversary of Will’s disappearance in season 1 — Netflix released a few fresh teasers to tide fans over until ST4’s 2022 release date. Is there a new cast of characters?
It appears as though there will be some fresh new faces joining the group, one of whom has a strong connection to an already beloved star on the programme.
The Duffer Brothers introduced several never-before-seen characters for season four at Netflix’s Geeked Week, including one member of the Netflix family.
Vickie is played by Amybeth McNulty, who is described as “a cool, quick-witted band nerd who attracts the attention of one of our cherished heroes.”
Patrick will be played by Myles Truitt “a Hawkins basketball star who possesses friends, talent, and a pleasant way of life…
until startling occurrences hurl his life into a tailspin.”
Ms. Kelly is Regina Ting Chen, “a popular guidance counsellor who genuinely cares about her pupils – particularly those who are struggling the hardest.”
Grace Van Dien in the role of Chrissy: “Hawkins’ High’s head cheerleader and the school’s most popular girl. However, beneath the deceptively flawless exterior lurks a deadly secret.”
Maya Hawke’s brother, Levon, has been sighted on set as a punk role, according to Fansided. We don’t know what kind of character he’ll be playing yet because Netflix hasn’t announced his casting, but it appears as though he’ll be starring with his sister, as they were all photographed filming at the same video store together.
Additionally, Netflix announced the acquisition of eight new cast members for season four. TVLine broke the news first of the latest recruits, which include a horror icon and Booksmart actor.
Robert Englund, best known for his portrayal of Freddie Kruger, will appear as Victor Creel, “a strange and imposing man imprisoned in a psychiatric facility for a heinous murder committed in the 1950s.”
Peter Ballard is Jamie Campbell Bower “a sympathetic individual who works as an orderly in a psychiatric hospital. Will Peter ultimately take a stand against the daily atrocities he witnesses?”

Eddie Munson is Joseph Quinn “an audacious 1980s metalhead who controls Hawkins High’s official D&D club, The Hellfire Club. Eddie will find himself at the horrifying epicentre of this season’s enigma, despised by those who do not understand him and adored by those who do.”
Sherman is Lieutenant Colonel Sullivan, “an bright, no-nonsense man who believes he knows how to finally put an end to the evil in Hawkins.”
Jason Carver is Mason Dye “a handsome and wealthy sports star who is dating the school’s most popular female. However, as a new threat threatens Hawkins, Jason’s idyllic world begins to crumble.”
Nikola Djuricko portrays Yuri, a “shady and unpredictable Russian smuggler who enjoys stupid jokes, cold hard cash, and crunchy peanut butter.”
Dmitri is Tom Wlaschiha “a Russian jail guard who becomes friends with Hopper, who is still very much alive. Dmitri is astute, shrewd, and endearing… however, can he be relied upon?”
How will season 4 differ from the previous seasons?
While she couldn’t divulge too much, Sadie Sink shared her thoughts on Max’s forthcoming season trip. “I’m incredibly pleased with how Max’s season four storyline developed,” she told ELLE. “I believe you’ve seen a side of her that I’m happy to share with everyone.”
Additionally, she stated that the cast is more cohesive than before. “We have an excellent collection of folks. At this time, this cast resembles my family “She served. “We’ve been collaborating for so long that it’s really good, especially during the pandemic, to be able to be in person with one another, work together, and simply enjoy filming together.”
If you’re not a fan of terrifying things, you might want to reconsider watching Stranger Things season four while the sun isn’t out. Gaten Matarazzo spoke with Us Weekly about the upcoming season, noting that it is not for the faint of heart.
“I believe the majority would agree that this is the scariest [season] of the previous three, which I enjoy because it’s a lot of fun to film,” he remarked.

How much time will Stranger Things 4 last?
The Stranger Things writers surprised fans by tweeting that the season’s scripts were finally complete. While they were stacked together to conceal the episode titles, the stack contained nine entire screenplays, indicating that season four will officially be one episode longer than season three.

Who will return?
This is a difficult one, as there were numerous teary goodbyes at the season’s conclusion. With Will, Jonathan, Joyce, and El departing Hawkins, we’re unsure how this party will remain intact when a new demogorgon arrives. Although it’s unlikely that Darce Montgomery will return this season following Billy’s death at the end of season 3, flashbacks or other special sequences are always a possibility. Additionally, there is the looming question of Hopper’s whereabouts and whether he is alive or dead. Fortunately, Netflix revealed that he is still alive and well in a special Valentine’s Day clip.
