Constance Zimmer (born October 11, 1970) is an American actress best known for her portrayal of Dana Gordon on HBO’s Entourage and as Claire Simms on ABC’s critically acclaimed legal comedy-drama Boston Legal. She was also a guest star on NBC’s short-lived Love Bites. She appeared in the Netflix original series House of Cards from 2013 to 2014. She is presently starring in Lifetime’s new television series UnREAL, which premiered in June 2015.

Zimmer is a twice-married man. To begin, she would like to thank special effects artist Steve Johnson, whom she met in the late 1990s while working on Duracell commercials featuring The Puttermans.
Zimmer gave birth to a daughter, Colette Zoe, on January 5, 2008. Her father is director Russ Lamoureux. On June 20, 2010, Zimmer and Lamoureux confirmed their engagement. In October of that year, they married.
Zimmer is a frequent attendee of celebrity charity events. The Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Natural Resources Defense Council, and Heifer International are among the organizations she supports.
Childhood and Education Constance Zimmer
Zimmer was born in Seattle, Washington, to parents who immigrated from former East Prussia. She speaks fluent German, stating in a 2015 interview that, even though her parents talked English with her as a child, she spent six weeks of each summer in Germany with her grandmother, who spoke exclusively German. Zimmer decided to pursue a career in acting after falling in love with the craft during her senior year of high school. She was accepted to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena following high school.

Zimmer’s stage career was launched with an award-winning performance in a Los Angeles production of Catholic School Girls, for which she was nominated for a Dramalogue Award for Best Actress. After starring in multiple national commercials, most notably for Duracell, she began appearing as a guest on shows such as Ellen, Seinfeld, The X-Files, Gideon’s Crossing, and The King of Queens, in addition to recurring roles on The Wayans Bros., Hyperion Bay, and The Trouble With Normal. She was also cast in a few independent films during that period, including Spin Cycle, Home Room, and Warm-Blooded Killers.
Zimmer finally landed her first series regular role on NBC’s Good Morning, Miami as Penny Barrington, a slothful and burned-out office assistant. Following the cancellation of the series, she spent the second season recurring as Sister Lilly Waters on CBS’s Joan of Arcadia, as well as guest-starring in episodes of NYPD Blue and Jake in Progress. [reference required] Additionally, in 2005, she starred in Tiffani Thiessen’s short film Just Pray. It was chosen to screen at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Zimmer was cast as Brianna, a competitive law student, in the ABC crime/drama series In Justice in early 2006. She joined the cast of Boston Legal in the third season, playing associate attorney Claire Simms. In season four, her character was not reintroduced. Zimmer also starred in the HBO original series Entourage from 2005 to 2011, possibly her most well-known role to date.
Zimmer appeared alongside Brooke Shields, Andrea Bendewald, and Nicole Paggi in the world premiere of the play Girls Talk.

After four seasons, the series concluded in July 2018. She earned a Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series and was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her work in the series.
In 2015, she appeared as Rosalind Price in season three of the ABC superhero series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Since 2017, she has been a semi-regular panelist on ABC’s Match Game.
