God of War: Ragnarok Isn’t Going to be Delayed to 2023
God of War: Ragnarok is scheduled to release this year on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, but there is currently no information on when the game will be released on the two PlayStation consoles. Unfortunately, there is still no word on an exact release date, whether it is official or unofficial, at this time. Having said that, there’s a new update on the game and its release from a well-known industry insider and leaker, and it contains some good news, if not anything particularly noteworthy.
God of War: Ragnarok Will Not Be Delayed Until 2023
There is growing speculation that the PlayStation exclusive will be postponed until 2023, rather than 2022. In fact, there have been a couple of dubious rumors floating around that have suggested as much. It appears, however, that there is no truth to these rumors if you believe Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier’s account. According to one of the most well-connected insiders in the industry, the game will not be delayed until 2023 as previously stated.
We don’t know how much of this is speculative and how much is based on inside information. Both of these possibilities are possible outcomes. What’s more, if there was any concern among the staff at Santa Monica Studio and PlayStation that the game would be delayed, you’d expect Schreier to have picked up on it at the very least.

God of War: Ragnarok is currently in development for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. While God of War: Raganrok’s predecessor recently made its way to the PC, there is no word on whether God of War: Ragnarok will follow suit. However, given the fact that the first game took nearly four years to make the transition to the PC, this isn’t all that surprising. To put it another way, if you’re on a PC and hoping to play the game one day, don’t get too caught up in the mystery of the silence.
What is the plot of God of War: Ragnarok?
“From Santa Monica Studio comes the sequel to the critically acclaimed God of War (2018),” according to the game’s official pitch. “During their preparations for the prophesied battle that will bring the world to an end, Kratos and Atreus must travel to each of the Nine Realms in search of answers. The two heroes journey deep into the Nine Realms in search of answers as the Asgardian forces prepare for war with the otherworldly forces. Along the way, they will encounter fearsome enemies in the form of Norse gods and monsters, as well as stunning and mythical landscapes. They will also gather allies from all over the world. In order to protect their family from the threat of Ragnarök that is growing ever closer, Kratos and Atreus must choose between protecting their family and protecting the realms…”
