The FBI and two federal agencies cautioned in a joint alert Wednesday that they had reliable evidence about an enhanced and immediate danger of cybercrime to US healthcare providers and hospitals. Federal agencies warned that cybercriminals are going to unleash a wave of data-scrambling steal efforts to incarcerate hospital information systems against the US healthcare system, which may threaten healthcare delivery just as spiking national instances of COVID-19 are.
