On 26th September 2020, Fortnite Battle Royale turned three! To celebrate this, Epic Games introduced a series of challenges which will be available until 1st October 2020. Of course, they come with a reward. On completion of each challenge, players can earn a spray, wrap, emoji, back bling, and get some XP for their Battle Pass. As per reports, the challenges are quite similar to last year’s tasks. However, they are much more simple than the weekly challenges.
List of Birthday Challenges
Fortnite has added four challenges in total. They are:
- Play 10 matches.
- Dance in front of 10 different birthday cakes.
- Outlast 500 opponents.
- Gain 50 health or shield from the birthday cake.
If you are unfamiliar with the process, you may not be aware of what the birthday cake challenges signify. Explaining the same, at least ten large birthday cakes are placed all over the map. The location is the same in every game. The player has to be close to the cake and then complete the challenges.
How to complete each challenge?
- Play 10 matches
It is what it sounds. Players need to complete ten matches. However, winning isn’t necessary. To speed things up, players can immediately jump from a tall building and complete the game. Considering the challenge to outlast 500 opponents, one can club the two challenges and play wisely.
- Dance in front of 10 birthday cakes
In comparison to the others, this challenge is the most complicated one. Players have to dance in front of 10 birthday cakes, which are scattered all around the playing field. They are usually placed in the main-hub areas and are easy to spot as one can find them right in the middle of high-traffic points. To complete the challenge, the player must dance in front of all ten cakes. Dancing in front of one cake ten times will not be counted. However, it is not necessary to complete the challenge within a single game. Also, the player has to be near the cake to gain credit. You can find the birthday cakes in Sweaty Sands, Salty Springs, Doom’s Domain, Dirty Docks, Retail Row, Lazy Lake, Misty Meadows, Slurpy Swamp, Holly Hedges, and Weeping Woods.
- Outlast 500 opponents
This challenge isn’t difficult. However, it is time-consuming. A player will have to play at least five matches to complete this challenge. Thus, clubbing it with the first challenge is a wise move. Further, a newbie can complete this challenge easily. Hiding in a secluded building and waiting until the last opponent remains will do the trick for you. Even though it doesn’t sound interesting, playing normally will eventually help you get there. It is also recommended to complete this with a squad.
- Gain 50 health or shield from birthday cake
This challenge is the final one of the lot. The aforementioned birthday cakes feature a small piece of cake scattered on the floor around them. Each slice will give you five health/shields. Clubbing this with the dancing challenge will help you to complete it faster.
